Sydney's Story.

  Our Little Angel.

Sydney was born on Dec 4th 2004 to Scott and Crystal Estes

When we found out I was pregnant we were very happy and scared all at the same time. The pregnancy went well for the first 6 months. When I was in to my third trimester I noticed Sydney was not moving as much, and I was swelling all over my body. I went to my doctor several times to let her know I was having problems and wasn't feeling well. I was finally admitted to the hospital for observations. I had my first ultra sound and found out some disturbing news. Sydney had non-immune hydrops. This is a condition where her thoracic ducts will not absorb any fluids. her heart and lungs were filled with fluid. the doctors could not decide if I should continue to carry her so her lungs could finish developing, or take her so she would have a better chance at surviving. the next day the doctor made a decision to remove her as my kidney's were failing. Sydney went through so much during her 58 days on this earth. so much more than any of us will ever have to in our lifetime. She went through 3 surgeries to stop the fluid that her body would not absorb. After the second surgery the doctors started talking to us about removing her from life support. As a parent that is a very hard decision to make. After the third surgery Sydney made the decision for us. The third surgery was too much for her little body to handle. After 58 days of fighting , Sydney went to be with our Lord and Savior. Sydney lives everyday in our hearts, and we thank you Lord for sharing her life with us. For it is a life we will never forget. We Love you Sydney.

In my fathers house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. John14:2
