we are currently working on our new cars. hope they make us even stronger for 2012.
7/31/2010 another good night. Frankie won the B main again. three in a row for the team. Frankie started the A main in 5th. ran strong for a short time. got a bump from the 62 , ended up in 10th. not a bad night. trying hard to figure out our problems with the A main set up.
7/3/2010 back at it. both cars ran great in B mains. Scott took the victory in the trophy dash, and Frankie took the Victory in the second B main. awesome job for the Team. In the A main both cars ran Ok. both became very loose . so both cars dropped back to 8th and 9th. over all a great night. no major damage.
5/22/2010 First night out. Both cars seem pretty good. made a few adjustments in practice. the b main, the 39 started mid pack. 38 started in back. the 39 moved up fast. ended up third in his heat. the 38 also was very good. moved from last to 5th in 10 laps. Scott started on the pole for the main. Frankie started in 12th place. Scott took the lead at the drop of the flag and was setting sail. Frankie battled in the tight pack in back. caution bunched the field back up. Scott's car started getting tight. lost a few spots on the start. Frankie was also getting tight. moved around a few cars. by lap 38. both cars were side by side with the same problem. Scott finished 7th with Frankie right behind at 8th. great first night for poor handling cars.
9/6/2009 made it back with the 38. lot of work, thanks for all the help Mike. both cars had issues at the track. could not get grip with the front tires. made some adjustments for the B main. the 39 was ok. 38 was black flagged due to a fuel leak. the 39 had a decent start positioning in the A main. moved up very fast. battle to pass the 55 again. 55 did drive as usual. finally Scott made the move on the inside. the 55 drove down into the 39, the 55 spun. the crowd cheered. because of the way he blocked the 39. Officials then decided to change there call, and send Scott to the back. Scott was not happy. drove his car back to 10th position behind the 55 again . great job Scott, fastest car on the track. the 38 stayed pretty much around his start position. we later found out he had a broken shock. explains the poor handling.the officials later said they made a mistake. should have sent 55 to back.
8/29/2009 good day for racing. both cars running ok. Scott finished 2nd in his B main, Frankie finished 6th. both cars were tight in the A main. Frankie was making a move through the field. running hard on the low line. he was then run over by the 49 car. not sure what he was doing. thought he could pass below the yellow line and ran right in to the left rear of the 38 car. what made it worse is that he kept on driving rt in to th 38 with out backing off. this sent the 38 straight in to the wall. thanks Dennis. Scott continued to battle with a tight condition. held on to an 8th place finish.
8/15/2009 both cars made it out today. little practice due to rain. Frankie started the b main in 2nd. quickly took the lead on lap one and won the race. Scott started in 10th in his b main. made to 5th and then the car got loose due to the sway bar bolt backing off. Frankie started the main in 2nd, led the first lap. big wreck on lap one. Scott was knocked in to the wall. came off the track. Frankie started on the pole. got loose and settled in at 3rd. was running down the 62, then a spin caused by the 99 brought out the caution. Frankie hit the 62 in the pile up, knocking out the toe on the car. with 13 laps left, Frankie was still in a good spot to win. on the re start, the 6 car decided to run into the 38 and slide through for a pass. Frankie made it back along side of the 6, but just could not get the grip down low. Frankie finished 4th. good run for the 38 car. Scott DNF.
8/1/2009 The 38 was very good in practice. had a very poor pill draw for a starting position. started last in the b main. Frankie made it up to 6th position. started the A main in 12th spot. from the start of the race, the car was very good. he made it to 8th position. the 55 mirror drove Frankie for 15 laps. would not pick a line to run. nothing new from the 55. after a caution, Frankie was able to move up along side of the 55. then another caution. after a long delay for clean up. and upon the re-start. the 38 quite running. the 38 finished the race in the infield. (ignition module failed)
7/3/2009 another rainy day. Frankie was able to get the 38 car back on the track. thanks in part to Mike, Frank, Christian, and Scott. they didn't get to practice the car due to rain. started the b main in 4th. finished 2nd. Scott started 6th. finished 4th. Frankie started on the pole for the main. Scott started 10. Frankie lead the first couple of laps. the #8 came on the outside for the pass. Frankie was running well. and held on for a 4th place finish. Scott was also strong. moved into 7th spot. approx mid way through, Scott's sway bar came loose, this caused him to exit the race. bad break for a strong 39 car.
6/27/2009 not a bad day. rain for a short while. Frankie finished 4th in his b main. Scott finished 6th. both cars handled poorly due to old tires. (still looking for sponsors) Frankie started 10th in the A main, Scott started 15th. both cars were moving fast. Scott quickly made it 12th position. Frankie moved up to 6th place. a caution came out at lap 11. Frankie had a good re-start with Scott right behind him. coming out of turn 2, Frankie steering wheel came off the car. the car spun in front of the field. Scott spun behind him trying to miss the 38. Lee Kemmit was not able to mis Frankie. both cars suffered susp damage. . Frankie finished last, and Scott ended up 11th position.
6/13/2009 A very good day for both cars. Frankie finished second in his b main. Scott finished 7th. Frankie started 2nd row in the A main race, Scott started 15th. Frankie was slow at the start. it took a few laps for the tires to heat up. he went back to 6th place. a caution came out on lap 15. Frankie was able to go forward and secure the 5th spot. Scott started off fast and continued to move forward. he moved all the way up to 9th and was ready to charge for more when the caution flag came out, it moved Scott back to 12th spot. there was a lot of blocking going on. Scott finished in the 11th spot. great job over all.
6/6/2009 Finally got both cars back on the track. We did not have a lot of time to work on our set
up.
both cars finished second in there heat races. Scott started in the 2nd row and finished 9th overall. started having handling issues in the middle of the race. also started loosing power due to a fuel line problem. but over all very good.
Frankie started third row and finished 27th due to flat tire. his car was ok the beginning of the race. caution flew at lap 11. on the restart the tire went flat. Frankie kept it out of the wall and finished next to last
9/27/2008 After three months we made it back out in the 38 car. put the motor in friday night. didn't have enough time to do a set up on the car. the car ran well. it didn't handle very good. pushed like a dump truck. we started 14 and ended up 13 on the lead lap. overall a good and fun night. thanks for all the help and support during the race season. we look forward to next year running for the championship
6/28/2008 Another bad starting position for the 38 car. Frankie moved up from last to the 7th position in the b main. He started 15 in the main and quickly moved forward. by lap 17 Frankie was in 10th place and looking strong. and then it happened, another motor failure. no oil spill on the track, and since it happened in the turn, Frankie was able to take the car straight off without causing a caution. the 38 finished 20th.
6/21/2008 Good and Bad night. both cars ran great in the B mains. Scott started in in the 7th position in the A main. Frankie started in 10th. both cars looked very good. Frankie passed Scott and was in 7th place. Scott then began to get stronger and moved up and passed Frankie back and moved into 5th place. unfortunately he did not stay there. just a few laps later Scott's motor blew up, spilling oil all over turn 1 and 2. after the clean up Frankie moved into 6th place and held on until the finish.
6/14/2008 Not a bad night. the stands were packed. both cars struggled in the b's mains, and started 15 and 16th in the A main. both cars had issues, but managed to hold there spots. lots of wrecks tonight, and it seemed like the same cars were involved each time. Frankie paced Scott with a few laps to go, Scott stayed right behind him. Frankie then moved passed the 40 car (the same car that spun and cost Frankie the win last year) Scott then went low to pass and the 40 came down to block. rather than hit him as others did tonight, Scott slowed up to keep the car in one piece, unfortunately , 2 cars passed him while gathering the car back up. 9th for the 38 and 12th for the 39. good job team.
5/31/2008 Another good weekend for team estes. Scott started in 16th and moved up the ladder to finish 7th. Frankie started 25th because of tech issues and finished strong behind Scott in 8th place. both cars missed the big wreck on lap 24, Frankie got spun out by slowing traffic around the accident. overall a good night again. thanks for all the support. see you at the next race.
5/24/2008 Things went a lot better this weekend. Scott finished second in his B main after the 43 rubbed him out of the way. Frankie started in the back of the B main in 12th, and finished strong in 7th place. Scott started on the pole for the A main and was very good through out, the lap car double zero caused Scott to move up the track which allowed the 6 and 98 cars to pass him. Scott maintained and finished strong in the 4th spot. Frankie started in 15 and moved through the pack very well. He also ran up on a lap car resulting in loosing some of the spots he gained through the race, the 38 finished very well in 9th place. overall a very good night for both cars. minor damage to the 38 from a wreck with the 40.
5/3/2008 A little less stressful. both cars came back in one piece. Scott started the b main in 2nd place. the pole sitter jumped the start which left Scott scrambling to get up to speed. Scott dropped in and held 4th. Scott went on the inside of the 4 car to take third. the number 4 then came down on Scott resulting in him loosing two spots. Frankie started in back of his main and again had issues with handling. did not improve his starting position. Scott started in 9th position and Frankie started in 20th. both cars good at the start. Scott ran behind the 55 for many laps. tried to pass, but each time the 55 came down to chop Scott off. Scott was not very happy. I guess when drivers know your a clean driver they take advantage of this. it was very easy for the 55 to let the 02 go by on the inside. Frankie started on the outside and made a few moves to improve his position. he again had handling issues with the car, along with a flat tire. but he was able to get to the 15th spot. Scott ended up 11th. good job team estes.
4/19/2008 We picked up the motors on thursday and worked all night thursday and friday, we were able to make it to the track saturday morning for tech inspections and hot laps. the cars did not handle well. and with one practice session it was hard to make any major adjustments. both cars started towards the rear of the b main race. neither improved from the rear start. made a few more adjustments. scott started 18 and frankie in 20th in the A-main. Scott stayed on the outside for the first few laps and started to make a few moves and finished in 13th. Scott said the car was getting stronger as he raced. just about made it by goat roper. Frankie started on the outside and also made a few move, but the car simply would not turn, very tight. Frankie finished were he started in 20th place. all in all, not a bad night. first night out and no damage to the cars.
4/5/2008 ..race season is here. both cars missed the first race of the year. still getting them ready. congratulations to Eric Blakard for taking the first win of the season. And also the number 8 for a very strong showing in second. way to go Jeff. And goat roper you need to wash your car.
9/22/2007 the final race of the season. frankie qualified 8th and made the trophy dash. scott qualified in the middle of the pack. both cars struggled with handling issues. frankie started 2nd row in the main, scott started 7th row for the 50 lap race. both cars struggled at the beginning, frankie held the high line and tried to adjust for the car. scott also ran higher and waited for the car to come in. around lap 30 scott became very fast, and started to move up. caution came out at lap 40, frankie was in 6th and scott was in 11th. both cars seemed to struggle after that , but held on to there position
.
9/8/2007 started off very well, frankie qualified in the 5th spot, and scott qualified in third. scott finished 4th and frankie 6th in the b main. scott started off strong in the a main , but after 10 laps the car became very loose. frankie was strong the entire race, started in the 11th position and moved to the top 5 by lap 20. frankie was not able to get around the 3 car who became very wide at the end of the race. scott finished in 12th position with a poor handling car.
9/2/2007. Mike's first race with his updated motor. finally had power to burn. Mike qualified mid pack and started 17th in the A main with 31 cars. Mike looked good during the race and finished 12th in a race shorted wreck fest. It was also Mike's birthday and he would like to say thanks to all of his family and friends for there support.
9/1/2007 good night over all. frankie made the trophy dash and finished second. scott finished 3rd in his b main. scott started 4th in the a main and frankie started 8th. both cars were very fast at the start, frankie tried to move forward in traffic, but caught up again with the 24, they rubbed tires which caused frankie to get a flat tire, frankie kept it out of the wall and went off the track, scott continued to run strong finishing in third place. both cars came back in one piece.
8/25/2007 both cars had issues with handling. scott finished forth in his b main, frankie finished third. With the pill draw both scott and frankie started on the front row. they battled for the first few laps with frankie taking control and moving out front. caution fell with 5 laps to go for the 49, frankie and scott stated back strong, scott fell to third behind the 24. frankie continued to lead and took the white flag. caution came out again during the white flag lap, this allowed the 24 to get behind frankie at the re-start. going in to turn 1, the 24 hit the 38 and got frankie loose in the turn. this allowed the 24 to pass and take the lead, it also caused the field to get bunched up and the 1 car ran in to scott causing both cars to get a flat. And while both cars tried to make it around the track with flats, it ended up causing a pile up at the finish line.
8/11/2007 the cars ran ok. Scott made the trophy dash, finished third. frankie was wrecked by the #1 car in his b main, which resulted in a poor starting position. both cars were running on very old tires. they were trying to get a feel on how long they could use them. the main event showed how important a good set of tires are. the 39 started off strong but soon fell off when the tires heated up. the 38 also started off fast, but soon ran in to tire issues. along with tire issues the 38 took many hits from cars that just don't know how to pass without running a car over. if cars stop in front of you there are other choices rather than hit the person. use your brakes.the 58 thought since he bought a champions car that all of a sudden he was a champion driver. the 6 also used his old trick of just pushing you out of the way. and with the 5 car back out you have to expect a wreck. and going across the finish line, the 5 and another car came down the track right in front of the 38. the 38 has damage on both side of the car along with heavy front end damage. it was a rough weekend for the team. thanks to the 28 and 22 fig 8 team and Dan for the help in getting the 38 car back on the track after the b main.
7/21/2007 another hot day at the track. the 39 qualified well, the 38 did not. scott finished strong in his b main with a second place. frankie finished 4th in his b main. with the starting inversion scott got the pole. frankie started 13th. both cars had a good run with scott finishing in fourth and frankie in 11th. very minor damage to cars. but all in all a good night. thanks to all the fans who came over to the cars after the races. it was nice to see a lot of friendly faces.
7/7/2007 we were able to get the 38 back on the track. they found an oil leak when unloading. they were not able to start the b main which resulted in the 38 starting in the rear. the 39 performed well. finished 2nd in the b main. and finished 10th in the a main after a slow start. the 38 ended up coming from 23 to 13th in a caution free race.
7/4/2007 the 37 super stock made it out this holiday weekend. Mike performed well, but had motor issue that slowed the cars performance. we will be changing a cam in the 37 to help it performance very soon.
6/30/2007 Warm day on and off the track. the 39 was hit in the rear while slowing down for caution by the #1 car. the 38 was also involved trying to miss other cars going sideways. unfortunately the 38 hit the 93 in the side but was able to continue. a few laps later the 55 started a pile up which the 38 again was hit from the front and side. this time the car was towed off. the 39 was able to come back on and finish the race in 7th. the 38 finished 23.
6/16/2007 Another day at the track. the weather was good for the most part. the wind and rain blew for a short while. the canopy's blew up on top of the trailer. from what I heard, it was very comical. nobody got hurt. the cars seem to be getting better, they were both loose coming out of the turns. the tires are getting pretty worn. but all in all it was a good night. the 39 finished 11th and the 38 was right behind in 12th. the cars were pretty much un damaged except from the 28 pushing up and running in to the 38. second time this year, guess he likes rubbing fender with the 38, lets hope his car starts handling better. those repairs add up to real dollars.
